Expert guidance and support...

This epic wellness, yoga and hiking retreat will be led by Fern Smyth, Pilates & Yoga Instructor of Myall Wellbeing. A note below from Fern;

Fern is a qualified Microbiologist who hung up the lab coat to wear her activewear as a full-time Pilates and Yoga Instructor. She has been part of the Myall team since the very beginning and fondly describes Emma as her yoga mum.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Fern shifted to Australia in her late teens and went on to study Microbiology. After completing her studies, she worked for several years in a research lab at a medical centre in Perth. In her spare time, she would go to all the social club fitness classes organised by her work. It was after her fitness instructor suggested that she could teach BODYBALANCETM classes that it sparked her interest in learning to teach Pilates. She felt shy and nervous at the beginning but equally had the desire to encourage other people to feel the same benefits and love the classes as much as she did.

Fern believes that every student who walks into her class should leave feeling like their body is different in some way. As she instructs, her voice is deceptively pleasant and calm, when the movements are super challenging and will push anyone to their limits.

Begin your morning with a yoga session in Margaret River, then head back to SurfPoint for a healthy breakfast, and then heading out to start your hike.

Start the hike at the historic settlement of Ellensbrook. From Ellensbrook, the Track quickly leaves thecoast and meanders through sand dunes and past Ellensbrook homestead and Meekadarbee Falls. Enjoy afternoon yoga and then dinner at SurfPoint Resort tonight.

Day 3: Tuesday 15th November: Yoga session, hike SurfPoint Resort to Redgate Beach - 8km.

Begin your morning with a yoga session in Margaret River, then head back to SurfPoint for a healthy breakfast, and then heading out to start your hike.

From the limestone ridge at Prevelly you will head down into the sheltered creek line of Boodjidup Brook. Continue on and experience the white sands of Boodjidup before reaching historic Redgate Beach.

Enjoy afternoon yoga and then dinner at SurfPoint Resort tonight.

Day 4: Wednesday 16th November: Yoga session, Cape Grace, Vasse Felix, Chocolate Factories and end the day with dinner at SurfPoint.

Begin your morning with a yoga session in Margaret River, then head back to SurfPoint for a healthy breakfast. Next we head out to visit a selection of Margaret River's favourite vineyards, including Vasse Felix and Cape Grace, where we enjoy a local nibbles plate and wine tasting at one of the regions most awarded small local producers.

Cape Grace, one of the great little wineries in Margaret River.

Cape Grace has been previously included in one of James Halliday’s   “Ten of the Best New Wineries” listings and is currently rated a 5 Star Winery in James Halliday’s 2017 edition of the Wine Companion, with out Reserve 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon receiving 97 points. Total production is limited to 1500 – 2200 dozen cases depending on the season, and the wines are sold primarily via the Cellar Door and mail order.

After the food and wine head to nearby Gnarabup Beach for a swim and then enjoy dinner as the sun sets at SurfPoint Resort.

Begin your morning with a yoga session and then a healthy breakfast, and then head out to the beautiful Redgate Beach for your third hiking session.

Start you hike at historic Redgate Beach. Next is very likely one of the best sections of the Cape to Cape Track: the scenic coastal cliffs at Bob’s Hollow and Contos (although we may be biased as CCET have adopted and maintain this leg!). Walk under the WA Peppermint trees, keep an eye  out for emus, possums and even phascogales in one the south west’s best preserved forest areas. Next head into the towering Karri forest and enjoying hiking through this wonderful shaded wilderness area.
