Join Off the Beaten Track WA and Cape to Cape Explorer Tours for a weekend coastal experience hiking tour on West Australia’s premier coastal long distance trail, the Cape to Cape Track! Stay in comfortable coastal accommodation, enjoy gourmet catering from Cape to Cape Movable Feast along with some of Margaret River’s very best providers.

Itinerary:

Pre-arrival day - Friday 22nd May 2020 - Drive down from Perth and check into accommodation at Surfpoint Resort, right on the beach at Gnarabup. Go for a swim and then enjoy dinner provided at the Resort at 8pm service time (to allow those to get down from Perth after work).

Day 1 - Saturday 23rd May 2020

Enjoy a continental breakfast at Surfpoint Resort, then a morning pick up by your driver at 8am, and you will hike on the fantastic stretch between Ellensbrook and Surf Point Resort at Gnarabup (15.5kms).  We will provide you with a delicious lunch to have out on the coastline. If the water levels are too high to cross the Margaret River Mouth in Prevelly by foot, we will be canoed across, adding an extra bit of excitement to your day! After hiking for the day return to the Resort for a delicious dinner.

Day 2 - Sunday 24th May 2020

Start the day with a cooked breakfast at the Resort. You will hike the highlight stretch of the Cape to Cape Track today, 12.5km in total, beginning at the historic Redgate Beach – a local surfing and fishing favourite. Next is very likely one of the best sections of the Cape to Cape Track: the scenic coastal cliffs at Bob’s Hollow and Contos. Enter the majestic Karri filled Boranup Forest, home to the world’s third tallest hardwood. The solid track under foot and afternoon shade of the karri trees make it all seem easy!

After you hike, pack up and head back to the city, refreshed and ready to tackle the new week with plenty of amazing memories and stories to tell!

– 2 nights shared accommodation at coastal beach resort (extra charge for own room available). Please note shared rooms have shared bathroom facilities.
